Paris

Excursion to the Palace of Versailles —  Approximate value: €59 EUR per person
Travel out of Paris to the lavish 17th-century baroque Palace of Versailles, built by the Sun King, Louis XIV, with its magnificent State Apartments, Hall of Mirrors, and Royal Chapel. Your Local Guide will bring its history to life during your visit, then time at leisure to stroll through parts of the elegant 250-acre gardens. Louis XIII originally purchased Versailles and its surrounding land to serve as his hunting lodge. Later, his son, Louis XIV, decided to make it his seat of government, and in 1682, he installed his impressive court and numerous noble visitors in sumptuous surroundings, a symbol of absolute monarchy. NOTE: This excursion is not available on Mondays and public holidays.

Seine Cruise and MontmartreApproximate value: €39 EUR per person
Discover more of beautiful Paris with a cruise on the River Seine and a visit to the artistic and picturesque district of Montmartre, famous for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacre Coeur. Enjoy free time to stroll around Place du Tertre and to watch bohemian street artists at work.


Cannes

Excursion To St. Paul De Vence — Approximate value: €29 EUR per person
Marvel at the lovely landscapes on your way to Saint Paul de Vence, a medieval Provencal village made famous by world renowned artists such as Chagall, Matisse and Cezanne, where you seem to travel back in time. Enjoy free time to wander through the paved historical streets lined with art galleries and craft shops, view the valley from the well-preserved cemetery ramparts, and enjoy the peace and harmony of this idyllic spot.


Monte Carlo

Discover the Canal du Midi, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The canal was first developed in the 17th century and links ‘the two seas’ – Atlantic & Mediterranean. Cruise peacefully along, simply watching the scenery pass by as you relax on the deck. In the distance you may see the Pyrenees, whereas closer to hand are the vineyards that stretch for thousands of square miles. Don’t miss the chance to pass through one of the locks and to visit a typical old lockmaster’s house!

 

Perigueux

The Dordogne Experience – Approximate value: €59EUR
Dordogne is famous for its prehistory with its painted caves some of which date back 20000 years ago (probably some of the oldest paintings in the world). Why not join your TD for a unique tour which will bring you back at the origin of mankind?
