We will then proceed in the direction of the nearby temple of Santa Corona, which contains paintings by Vincenzo Bellini and Paolo Veronese. Having crossed contra’ Porti, characterised by the presence of the most elegant Palladian buildings, we will conclude our guided tour in the central Piazza dei Signori, where we can see two works of art designed by the famous architect: the Basilica Palladiana and the Loggia del Capitaniato. At the end of the guided tour you will have free time for shopping or more sightseeing.

Prato della Valle, one of the largest squares in Europe, decorated by statues of famous characters of city life, including Francesco Petrarch and Galileo Galilei; the ancient Basilica of Santa Giustina overlooks the piazza.  From there we will continue towards the Basilica of Sant’Antonio, the destination of pilgrims and tourists from all over the world; work to build the Basilica began in 1231, immediately after the death of the Saint, whose mortal remains are preserved inside the building.  Narrow colonnaded streets take us to the old town center where we immediately come across the Palazzo del Bo, the Headquarters of the ancient Paduan University; opposite this is the famous Caffè Pedrocchi, located in a neoclassical building created in 1831 based on a design by Giuseppe Jappelli. In the past and up until the present day, it has been a popular meeting place for scholars and students in the area.  A short distance away, we find the medieval Piazza delle Erbe and Piazza della Frutta, separated by the majestic lofty form of the 13th century Palazzo della Ragione, formerly the headquarters of the city courts.
