Easter Monday or Lundi de Pâques‘, is a public holiday in France. Many people spend it quietly with family and friends. Easter egg hunts are a common tradition of Easter Monday. Inhabitants of Bessieres, a village in the Pyrenees mountains, make a huge omelet with 15,000 eggs and then hold a communal meal to eat it. There are also parades and blessings of fields for the coming year.
