ITINERARY:

Day 1 Arrive in Paris, France
Welcome to Paris! At 5:30 pm, meet your Tour Director and traveling companions, and leave the hotel for a special welcome dinner at one of Paris’ lively restaurants, followed by an orientation drive.

Day 2 Paris
Sightseeing with a Local Guide features the Arc de Triomphe, Opéra, Madeleine, Louvre, and Champs-Elysées. Visit the impressive COURTYARD of Les Invalides, a complex of buildings, originally built as a home and hospital for war veterans, which houses various museums as well as the Dome Church, burial place of Napoleon. To make the most of your stay, optional excursions are available.

Day 3 Paris–Versailles–Beaune
Enjoy a special visit to the magnificent PALACE AND GARDENS OF VERSAILLES. Then, enter Burgundy and arrive in Beaune, wine capital of the region, where a WINE TASTING awaits you at the famous Marché aux Vins wine cellar. Time to stroll around and admire the famous Hôtel-Dieu which was originally built as a hospital for the poor, and Notre Dame Basilica.

Day 4 Beaune–Pont Du Gard–Avignon–Aix-En-Provence
Stop at Pont du Gard and admire the largest remaining Roman aqueduct in France, a monumental feat of engineering completed in the year 19 BC. Continue to Avignon, a town on the Rhône River that in the 14th century became the residence of the popes. During your walking tour, take pictures of the magnificent Palace of the Popes and the famous bridge, and browse through the colorful shops that sell traditional products made in Provence, like cloth, honey, herbs, and nougat candy. Next is the pleasant town of Aix-en-Provence, where you will stay for two nights.

Day 5 Aix-En-Provence
Aix-en-Provence is one of France’s most elegant cities; it was the birthplace of painter Cézanne, and has always attracted artists from all over. Follow your Tour Director to the market square. Wander through the maze of small streets and along shaded Cours Mirabeau. Balance of the day is at leisure.

Day 6 Aix-En-Provence–St. Paul De Vence–Monte Carlo, Monaco
Enjoy a highlight visit to the picturesque hilltop town of St. Paul de Vence. Marvel at the many art galleries and little shops. Then, turn to the glittering Mediterranean Sea and arrive in the tiny Principality of Monaco, built on a rocky peninsula and famed for its nightlife. Capture the spirit and beauty of this magical place during your orientation drive. Later, you may wish to join an optional excursion to see the palace and royal church of Monaco town, and to try your luck at the Monte Carlo casino.

Day 7 Monte Carlo. Excursion to Èze, France
Morning at leisure to dabble in the blue Mediterranean Sea. Later in the afternoon, enjoy a scenic drive along the Moyenne Corniche with spectacular views to Èze, where a unique highlight awaits you: visit the famous Fragonard perfume factory and CREATE YOUR OWN FRAGRANCE. Later, join a special farewell dinner at a local restaurant to celebrate the success of your vacation.

Day 8 Monte Carlo
Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning (the nearest airport is Nice).

Tips to waiters, chambermaids, and to the Tour Directors, local guides, and drivers are not included. The following is a suggested guideline on tipping:
(a.) Euro 1.00 per person/per day for waiters and chambermaids
(b.) Euro 2.00 per person/per day for drivers and local guides
(c.) Euro 3.00 per person/per day for your Tour Director.
Transfers:
Add transfers to your tour so you don’t have to worry about how to get to your hotel and back. Baggage: Different airlines have different policies. For information on specific airline policies, please check your carriers web site.
Air Transportation:
Air fares change often and vary by gateway city, season, day of week and seat availability. Our air fares will be quoted to you within two business days of your tour reservation and will include the air fare, fuel surcharges and government taxes as quoted by the airlines. You are under no obligation to accept our airfare quote and may elect to use your reward miles or your preferred airline. We highly recommend to reserve your seats early in order to obtain the best air fare.
